CAROLA CASTAGNA – women
Carola Castagna:
“I approached the art world a few years ago. I followed for three years a course in design and
anatomical design with a model from life, then the curiosity to try other paths led me to
search for a pottery class. I learned the various cooking techniques and then I started
modeled school . I identified from the earliest lessons what I liked to create? heads mostly
from women of various ethnic groups, combining sculptural technique to what I had learned
in anatomy. I prefer to use the marl (galestro) in the classic red and dark brown and the white semirefractory”.
Galestro is a schistose stone of the Marne family, typical of central Italy.
It generate a special red clay, much appreciated all over the world.
